Career & Technical Education, Charles County Public Schools

Charles County Public Schools has Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways in all 10 Career Clusters. Every CTE pathway works to have graduates gain industry certification and/or college credits. Departments of Social Services (DSS)

The Departments of Social Services (DSS) in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties work with eligible county residents to develop and promote job skills and employment preparation for a wide range of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled job-seekers. As part of these efforts, the DSS’ are actively seeking opportunities for customers to participate in internship positions in local businesses. Internships may be paid (by DSS) or unpaid and the DSS’ will provide ongoing coaching and support to the interns.
